- Technical Content: Acephate 75% SP

- Mode of Action: Starthene Insecticide, which contains Acephate 75% SP, is effective when it comes into direct contact with the pests or when the pests consume the treated plant material. Acephate binds and inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in nervous system tissues of insects and turns their bodies into a chemical called methamidophos, thereby controlling a variety of pests.
