Features
- Metarhizium anisopliae is a fungus that grows upon insect host cuticle.
- Metasterk is an insectivorous fungus that infects the insects that come in contact with it.
- Then they infiltrate the insect’s body and grow very fast and kill the insects.
- Once the fungus spores attach to the outer surface of the insect, they germinate and begin to grow.
- After penetrating the outside skeleton of the insect, they grow rapidly inside the insect, causing the insect to die.
Mode of Action
- Cuticle breaks down, toxins act, fungus multiplies inside, insect dies, and spores spread to new hosts.
- Mode of Entry – Conidia attach to the insect cuticle, germinate, and the hyphae penetrate into the host body.
Dosage
- Foliar Spray: 5–10 ml/lit
- Drip Irrigation: 1 lit/acre

Application Method-
Slurry Method or Direct Use
- Slurry Method: Take 1 lit. Metasterk, 2 kg of jaggery, 2 lit milk in 200 lit water keep it for 24 to 72 hrs filter it & then use it for drip.
- Direct Use: Take 1 lit./acre use directly through drip or drenching Spray 5 to 10 ml/lit water
