Features
- Gibberellic acid is widely used in agriculture due to its properties as a plant growth regulator.
- Gibberellic acid is involved in the induction of seed germination, the promotion of shoot growth, the lengthening of internodes, the determination of a plant’s genetics, and the promotion of flowering.
- The gibberellic acid application also leads to an increased rate of cell division.
Mode of Action
- Gibbstar is to be diluted at the rate of 1 ml in 1 litre of water and further diluted in 180-200 ltrs of water per acre for preparation of spray solution.
- It is then to be sprayed uniformlly on the foilage to cover all parts of the plant.
- Gibbstar shall be sprayed during the cool hours of the day.
- Gibbstar can be sprayed in the field for high volume spraying using equipments like bucket sprayer, Stirrup pump sprayer, Foot Sprayer, Wheelbarrow sprayer, Knapsack sprayer.
- For low volume spray knapsack mist blower cum duster can be used.
Dosage
- Crops -Cotton, Target pest – Cotton At the time of boll development, Dosage per acre – 75 ml
- Crops -Paddy, Target pest – At the time of 2-5% of Grain Formation, Dosage per acre -75 ml
- Crops -Potato, Target pest – 60-70 days after planting, Dosage per acre -75 ml
- Crops – Bottle Gourd, Target pest – Anthracnose, Dosage per acre -572 gm
