About Product

K-THIO (Thiamethoxam 25% WG) is broad spectrum systemic insecticide having quick stomach and contact activity and is recommended for its use to control pest in Rice ,Cotton, Mango, Wheat, Okra, Mustard, Tomato (Foliar application, Brinjal (Foliar application),Tea, Citrus(Acid lime), Potato (Foliar & Soil drench application) ,Tomato (soil drench), Cumin and Rice± Nursery (as Soil drench) crops. It contains 250 g Thiamethoxam as an active ingredient in one kilogram of the product (w/w).

Mode of Action

It paralyzes the insect after coming in contact with it and reaching its stomach. Its nervous system gets damaged and it stops eating, leading to its death. The mode of action on target insects (terrestrial and aquatic) involves out-competing the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine for available binding sites.
