MODE OF ACTION
- Inhibition of Acetylcholinesterase: Propoxur works by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is responsible for breaking down acetylcholine at nerve synapses.
- Disrupts Nerve Impulses: By blocking acetylcholinesterase, acetylcholine accumulates, causing continuous nerve stimulation, leading to muscle spasms, paralysis, and ultimately the death of the insect.
- Effective Against Multiple Insects: Propoxur targets both sucking and chewing pests, making it highly effective in controlling a wide range of insects.
DOSAGE
- Sucking Pests: 500-750 ml/acre
- Chewing Pests: 750-1000 ml/acre
- General Application: 25 ml per liter of water
Additional Information
- Mix the required quantity of Katyayani Propoxur-20 in 200-250 liters of water.
- Spray the solution evenly on the crop, paying special attention to the undersides of the leaves.
- Apply the spray in the early morning or evening to avoid strong sunlight.
- Repeat the application after 7-10 days, or as needed.
