Description
When your R35 GTR transmission is being maintained correctly, it requires the replacement of the Transmission Fluid & Filters, thus needing to remove the filter cartridge to gain access to the Line Filter.
The OE original filter cover is easily damaged from being removed & replaced when the transmission is being serviced. The originally fitted factory Nissan fitted “Filtran” line oil filter cartridge, we tend to this item damaged due to over-tightening or found with thread, making the removal a problem. When this occurs, it becomes difficult to remove without breaking the hex, requiring some work to have it removed, leaving it as shown below, and no longer usable.
This revised part, manufactured stronger with a thicker hex wall, we highly recommend purchasing before your next service. Avoid potential or future issues with this part before it becomes a problem, and order it before completing your transmission service.
