About Product

• Pendimethalin 30% + Imazethapyr 2% EC is a selective, pre-emergent herbicide used for controlling annual grasses, sedges, and broad-leaved weeds, primarily in soybean crops. 
• It’s an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) combining two active ingredients: Pendimethalin, a microtubule assembly inhibitor that arrests cell division, and Imazethapyr, an ALS inhibitor that stops branched-chain amino acid synthesis. 
• This dual mode of action provides effective, comprehensive weed control at or before germination.

• Absorption: Absorbed by both roots and foliage, then translocated throughout the plant.

Mode of Action

• Pendimethalin (30%): Family: Dinitroaniline. 
• Mechanism: Inhibits microtubule assembly, stopping cell division and plant growth, particularly after germination. 
• Absorption: Absorbed by plant roots and leaves. 
• Imazethapyr (2%): Family: Imidazolinone. 
• Mechanism: Inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, blocking the synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids needed for protein and cell production.
